How to automate update client’s PC System Version
QNE Optimum uses the most common way to deploy the client application by installing it on each End-User Workstation. And to update the application to the latest version, we use our online update service. The online updater will download and install the most recent update for you. However, this will become extremely tedious to perform the same steps on each workstation, especially when the internet is not as reliable as you are. QNE Optimum provides another approach to help you to save time in the future. Perform the following steps to automate the update process at multiple workstations.
1st Step – Create a shared folder in Server/Main’s PC, you can give it an arbitrary name. For instance, name it OptimumUpdateFiles. This folder will store newer application versions.
After Successful Share the OptimumUpdateFiles (Folder), Please Copy the Path.
2nd Step – Copy the latest version Setup file, Paste it into OptimumUpdateFiles.
Example Version 2019.1.1.1 is the latest version of QnE Optimum.
Note: For Easy to fill in WinApp.Config later, we can rename the application to Setup.exe
3rd Step – in End-User Workstation, we right click QnE Software Icon, Click Open File Location,
We will able to find the file which named WinApp.Config.
Right Click WinApp.Configà Open with Notepad.
4th Step – in this WinApp.Config, there’s one line call NewVersionInstaller, we can paste the Path which copy in 1st Step.
Click Fileà Click Save.
All Step done.
Once End-User Workstation, execute QnE Optimum, System Application will start install the Latest version.
