- Install QNE OPTIMUM At Server Or Standalone Computer
There are 2 type of installer or setup file in QNE, either it is "Full Installation setup file" or the "Version setup file".
In this article we are using "Full installation Setup file" to discuss
Step 1 - Get your installer and run the installer
Step 2 - In the "Select Setup Language" screen, just click OK to continue.

Step 3 - Click Next when the Setup Welcome screen appears.

Step 4 - Click Next to install QNE Software in default C drive or else select other destination location by click on “Browse…”

Step 5 - In the installation options page, you select Full Installation which 3 component will selected automatically.
Note: If you do not see "SQL Server" and "License Service" means this is not full installation setup file, you are using the Version setup file

Step 6 - Click Next>

Step 7 - Click Finish as QNE installation completed.

At QNE Server, there has only 3 parts need to configure in order for allow QNE Client connected to QNE Server.
- Part I : SQL Server Configuration Manager
Step 1 - Go to Start -> SQL Server Configuration Manager
Step 2 - Select SQL Server Network Configuration -> Protocols for QNEBSS -> On the Right panel, double click on TCP/IP

***NOTE: If TCP/IP disable, please enable it by RIGHT Click -> Select Enable


Step 3 - Click on IP Addresses Tab -> At section IPAll -> TCP Port, Set Port number by key in
1433


- Part II: Add SQL TCP Ports (1433 & 25811) in Window Firewall
Step 1 - Open Windows Firewall -> Advanced Settings

Step 2 - Click Inbound Rules -> Right Click -> Select New Rule…


Step 3 - Select Port & Click Next>

Step 4 - Add Port TCP, Port number: 1433
Part A: Select TCP
Part B: Key in 1433


Step 5 -Select Allow the connection & Click Next

Step 6 - Click Next >

Step 7 - Name this new port as “SQL Server Port 1433 (TCP)” and Click Finish.

Step 8 - SQL Port 1433 (TCP) created

Step 9 - Repeat above step 2 until step 15, to add port 10010.
Step 10 - Two new ports added as showed below.

- Part III: Create A Share Folder In C / D Drive
The purpose of creating a share folder is to make sure the Network Recovery Mode is turning on and it allows you to do backup from the workstation. SQL Server require a share folder with Read permission to store the temporary backup file and transfer it to the workstation.
Step 1 - Create a New Folder


Step 2 - Rename New Folder as Shared
RIGHT Click on Shared-> Share With -> Specific people

Step 3 - Add user Everyone with Read permission.

- Install QNE OPTIMUM CLIENT At Workstation (PC)
Step 1 - Run the QNE installer (the Setup.exe file)
Note: setup.exe do not contain SQL Server and workstation do not require to install SQL Server
Step 2 - In the "Select Setup Language" screen, just click OK to continue.

Step 3 - Click Next when the Setup Welcome screen appears.

Step 4 - Click Next to install QNE Software in default C drive or else select other destination location by click on “Browse…”

Step 5 - In the installation options page, you select Client Installation

Step 6 - Click Finish as QNE installation completed.

Step 7 - At Database Wizard, Click on Append

Step 8 - Fill up all required field as showed in printscreen below:

Step 9 - Show Success mean this QNE Client connected to QNE server and Click Save.

Step 10 - To open new connected database by click on Open.

Step 11 - Login as Default user ADMIN with no password required.

Step 12 - Click on Upgrade.


Step 13 - Main screen of QNE OPTIMUM showed below that you are successfully access to QNE OPTIMUM.
