In QNE AI Cloud Accounting (QCA), businesses can now retrieve customer or supplier tax information directly using LHDN’s Taxpayer QR Code. This feature ensures that you have accurate tax details for e-invoice submissions, reduces errors, and streamlines compliance with LHDN e-Invoice requirements.
This guide explains how to retrieve LHDN’s Taxpayer QR Code from MyInvois portal, then use the QR code by scanning or uploading it in QCA to quickly access the relevant tax information, making your invoicing process faster and more reliable.
Scenario:
Your company is preparing an e-Invoice for a customer or supplier. To ensure accurate tax reporting:
You need to get your customer and/or supplier’s tax information.
The customer or supplier provides their Taxpayer QR Code, which is generated from their MyTax portal.
You attach or scan the LHDN QR Code, and QCA will automatically retrieve the registered tax information (e.g., TIN, business name, and address).
The retrieved information is applied directly to the invoice fields, reducing the risk of errors and ensuring compliance with LHDN e-Invoicing requirements.
By using the LHDN QR Code in QCA, you save time, minimize mistakes, and maintain accurate, compliant records effortlessly.

#1 How to retrieve LHDN’s Taxpayer QR Code from MyInvois portal
Log-in to your MyTax profile.
Access MyInvois portal.
- At the top-right corner of MyInvois Portal, select the “Profile” dropdown menu. Select the “View Taxpayer Profile”. This option will grant you access to the Taxpayer’s profile information.
- In the profile information tab, you should see a QR code. Click on the QR Code.
- Click “Download”. Your QR code will be downloaded to your device as a .png file.
- Save the QR code in your preferred document.
#2 How to upload the LHDN’s Taxpayer QR Code from MyInvois portal into QNE AI Cloud Accounting
In QNE AI Cloud Accounting, you can upload the QR Code into the creation of your customer and supplier database.
Let’s break it down the steps accordingly.
Upload in Customer database creation platform
- Go to Account Receivables. Then, select “Customers”. If it is an existing customer, select the customer from the list. If this is a new customer, click “Add”.
- At the right side of “Customer Name”, click on the QR button. A “Scan Tax Payer QR Code” pop-up will appear.
- Click the “Click to Upload QR Code” button to attach the QR code.
- Attach the QR Code. All the relevant information will be updated according to the registered information in MyTax portal. You may perform a final check for any missing fields.
- Click “Save”.
b. Upload in Supplier database creation platform
- Go to Account Payables. Then, select “Suppliers”. If it is an existing customer, select the supplier from the list. If this is a new supplier, click “Add”.
- At the right side of “Supplier’s Name”, click on the QR button. A “Scan Tax Payer QR Code” pop-up will appear.
- Click the “Click to Upload QR Code” button to attach the QR code.
- Attach the QR Code. All the relevant information will be updated according to the registered information in MyTax portal. You may perform a final check for any missing fields.
- Click “Save”.
c. Customer upload their QR code when filling in their tax information using QNE Request Info function
- Go to e-Invoice. Then, select e-Invoice Advisor.
- Under the Customer tab, click “Get Advice”.
- Attach the customer’s email address by clicking “Edit Email”.
- Select the customers whom you want to request their tax information from.
- Click on “Request Info”, then click “Batch Email”.
- Click “OK”.
- A pop up will appear, stating the sharing is successful.
From your Customer’s end:
- Click the “Update Your Tax Information Here” button in the email received.
- Customers will be prompted to the QNE Request Info portal.
- Click “Upload QR Code”.
- Click the “Click to Upload QR Code” button to attach the QR code.
- Attach the QR Code. All the relevant information will be updated according to the registered information in MyTax portal. Customers may perform a final check for any missing fields.
- Perform verification by key-in the passcode retrieved from email.
- Click “Submit”.
d. Suppliers upload their QR code when filling in their tax information using QNE Request Info function
- Go to e-Invoice. Then, select e-Invoice Advisor.
- Under the Supplier tab, click “Get Advice”.
- Attach the supplier’s email address by clicking “Edit Email”.
- Tick the box.
- Click on “Request Info”, then click “Batch Email”.
- A pop up will appear, stating the sharing is successful.
From your Supplier’s end:
- Click the “Update Tax Information & Provide Consent” button in the email received.
- Suppliers will be prompted to the QNE Request Info portal.
- Click “Upload QR Code”.
- Click the “Click to Upload QR Code” button to attach the QR code.
- Attach the QR Code. All the relevant information will be updated according to the registered information in MyTax portal. Suppliers may perform a final check for any missing fields.
- Perform verification by attaching their signature for consent purposes and key-in the passcode retrieved from email.
- The supplier is required to verify their email with the OTP received and click “Submit” to complete the process.
By the end of these steps, you are able to navigate multiple ways to upload LHDN QR Codes from your suppliers and customers. This helps you keep your databases updated and ensures efficient e-Invoice submission.
