Next is the creation of Supplier Categories. This form is used to categorize suppliers. 

 

For example, some of your suppliers may be DISTRIBUTORS while others may be MANUFACTURERS which can be useful for report generation.

In Navigation pane, go to Accounts Payable, click on Categories.

Click 'Add', and then the new form will be displayed.

 

 

Fill in the Category Code, which will serve as a unique code for each category, along with the Category Name. You may toggle the 'Default' button to set the category as the default option when creating a supplier.

Once done, click on ‘OK’ to save the supplier category.

 

 

 

Categories that are not in used in Supplier Maintenance can be deleted by going back to the Category list view, select the desired Category(s) and click on ‘Delete’.

 

Confirmation message will be prompted, click “Confirm Delete”.
