Skim Kemalangan Bukan Bencana Kerja (SKBBK) Contribution for Employees Aged 60 and Above

Modified on Fri, 26 Jun at 2:43 PM

Overview

A common question from employers is whether SKBBK (Skim Kemalangan Bukan Bencana Kerja / PERKESO Lindung 24 Jam) contributions are still required when an employee reaches the age of 60 or above.

Is SKBBK Contribution Required?

The answer is Yes. Employees who are 60 years old and above, including those over 69 years old, are still required to contribute to SKBBK, provided they remain employed under a contract of service and are covered under the Skim Kemalangan Bukan Bencana Kerja (LINDUNG 24 JAM)

There is no maximum age limit for SKBBK coverage. As long as the employee is still employed and covered under PERKESO Act 4, SKBBK contributions remain applicable.

Employees aged 60 and above are covered under PERKESO Second Category (Employment Injury Scheme only).

Although the Invalidity Scheme no longer applies after the prescribed age, the SKBBK (Lindung 24 Jam) scheme continues to provide protection against non-work-related accidents. Therefore, employee contributions for SKBBK are still required.
