Overview
The Malaysian Government has announced that contributions to the Skim Kemalangan Bukan Bencana Kerja (SKBBK) / Lindung 24 Jam are no longer mandatory for local employees. The scheme is now voluntary with immediate effect following the Cabinet's decision.
However, foreign employees are not affected by this change. SKBBK contributions remain mandatory for foreign workers in accordance with the existing regulations.

- Employers are no longer required to deduct SKBBK contributions automatically.

- Continue deducting and submitting SKBBK contributions as required under the existing PERKESO regulations.
