Overview:
The POS module allows users to configure whether negative quantities can be entered during transactions. This setting helps prevent accidental sales returns, incorrect stock adjustments, or fraud. Enabling negative quantity entry allows for returns and adjustments directly in the POS system, while disabling it ensures that only positive stock movements are recorded. This article explains how to configure and use this feature to align with business needs.
Scenario:
In POS transactions, users can enter negative quantities if there is no control. How can we restrict access to prevent this?
Solution:
- Maintenance > User Roles > Select the Particular user roles to control
- Then go to Transaction > Point of Sales > Refer to ‘Negative QTY’, unticked Allowed
3. When the user entered negative, a verification will prompt to request supervisor ID and password
Note: Users with 'Negative QTY' access enabled in POS settings are designated as supervisors.
