How to Create a Cash Register in QNE AI Cloud POS ©

Created by QNE Software Sdn bhd, Modified on Tue, 25 Mar at 1:47 PM by QNE Software Sdn bhd

Overview:
In QNE AI Cloud POS, a Cash Register functions like a checkout counter. A single store can have multiple cash registers, and it is recommended that each cash register use a unique running number. This is to prevent conflicts in case of unexpected situations, such as internet disruptions due to network outages or ISP maintenance.

Since QNE AI Cloud POS supports offline operations, the system ensures uninterrupted sales even when the internet is temporarily unavailable. However, if multiple cash registers share the same running number, conflicts may arise when transactions sync back to the cloud after the connection is restored. Using different running numbers for each register helps maintain seamless transaction processing.

Scenario:
✅ The user logs into QNE AI Cloud POS.
✅ The user navigates to the Cash Register Management section.
✅ The user clicks Create Cash Register and enters details such as Register Name, Assigned Outlet, and Running Number.
✅ The system ensures that the running number is unique to prevent syncing conflicts.
✅ The user saves the settings, and the new cash register is successfully created.
✅ The register is now ready for sales operations, both online and offline, ensuring business continuity.

Solution:
Step 1 - Expand Settings > Expand Maintenance > Press 'Cash Registers'

Step 2 - Press 'Add'

Step 3 -

  • Select 'Outlet'
  • Fill in a Cash Register Code
  • Fill in Cash Register Description
  • Create a running number for this Cash Register
  • Tick Default
  • Press 'OK'

Note:

  • Frequency
No Reset - The running number does not reset. If the running number exceeds the predefined limit, the user must manually adjust it.
Reset Monthly – At the beginning of each new month, the system will automatically reset the running number.
Reset Yearly – At the beginning of each new year, the system will automatically reset the running number.
Reset Daily – The system will reset the running number every day.
  • Transaction Date – The system will use the transaction's created date to determine the running number.

User can refer this guidance to insert format.
